Marc Schmeeckle is a Retirement Plan Consultant for SageView Advisory Group in Denver, Colorado. Marc works with organizations of all sizes to effectively and efficiently manage their employer sponsored retirement plans. He assists with all aspects of plan management, including investment consulting, evaluation and monitoring, plan design, employee and plan sponsor education, plan health and benchmarking, and managing fiduciary obligations. Marc has been in the financial services industry since 2003 and has experience working on 401(k), 403(b), 457(b), Governmental, Defined Benefit, ESOP and Non-Qualified retirement plans.
Before joining the SageView team, Marc held a variety of roles at Principal Financial Group. He worked with thousands of employees to improve their retirement outlook, manage their nest eggs and transition into retirement. He was also responsible for leading the west division of the Principal Retire Secure program, worked as a Regional Director of Business Development and a Director of Retirement Solutions. Marc began his work in the financial services industry as a financial advisor at AXA Advisors. He holds series 7, 24 and 66 registrations.
Prior to his work in financial services, Marc was a Firefighter and US Army Ranger. He has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Metropolitan State University of Denver and a Master of Business Administration from Colorado State University. Marc has been married to his wife Amy since 2001 and has 3 awesome kids. When he’s not working, you can find him in the mountains, on a river, coaching baseball and basketball or on the sidelines of a youth sports game.
