Dak Spivey

Investment Advisor

Dak Spivey’s path to wealth management started with wanting to follow in his family’s footsteps with a career in Finance. He wanted to combine his interpersonal skills and desire to help people pursue their goals with his passion for capital markets. He started his career in Austin, Texas at UBS, working in their Wealth Management Training Program as a Financial Planner. Working with different financial advisory teams and their clients, he saw a diverse background of clientele and how they pursued their client’s goals. He used his knowledge in financial planning and markets to add more value to the client relationship and overall success for the client.

Dak and his wife relocated to San Francisco, where he joined a team at Morgan Stanley that focused on equity compensation and 10b5-1 planning for high-net-worth individuals. Through this experience, he was able to help clients focus on equity compensation selling strategies, limit pricing, and how their equity played a key role in their financial and overall life. Through the relationships built, he assisted in the selling of equity and overall long-term strategies for clients.

While Dak and his wife enjoyed living in Northern California, they knew they wanted to start and raise a family in Southern California. In June of 2022, Dak joined SageView as an Investment Advisor. In this role, Dak facilitates relationships with clients to build their overall wealth and pursue their financial and life goals. He believes in a comprehensive hands-on approach to wealth management and that having a plan in place for the future is a key to overall success. He works with clients to build out financial plans and investment portfolios that align with their individual goals and changing needs.

Dak and his wife, Jodie, currently reside in Newport Beach, California with their dog Emmy. They are outdoor enthusiasts and love any opportunity to be active. They enjoy playing golf and pickleball, surfing, and going to the beach. Dak graduated from Michigan State University and is an avid Spartan football and basketball fan.
